In 1991-92, Bharat tried to get out of its economic crisis and started adopting its new economic policies based on the model of market economy, the capitalist model which too, was not in accordance with Bharat’s nature, desires, expectations, whose source of inspiration and standard were the economies of America and Europe. Then Dattopant Thengadi Ji, who had given this country big organizations like Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh and Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, challenged this paradigm and formed the Swadeshi Jagran Manch.
To develop Bharat’s economy according to its nature and expectations, to be safe from the web of multinational companies, he undertook many types of movements and public awareness programs. Today, the same Swadeshi Jagran Manch and Associated Economic Groups, for employment generations undertook a comprehensive initiative known as Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan.
Objectives
Rojgar YUKT Bharat
Job creation is Bharat’s biggest need, Every Individual in Bharat should have employment contributing to Nations Economy.
Gareebi MUKT Bharat
No Individual should be under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) and accelerating that process is primary objective of Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan.
Samriddhi YUKT Bharat
The third topic - how can we make the size of the Bharat economy (the measure of economic prosperity) to 10 trillion $ by 2030, which presently is about 3 trillion $ by simultaneously protecting the environment.
